Last night was fun! My sisters, Aunt and I went out with my Mom for her 43rd birthday! We ate dinner at Joe's Pasta and then went to a movie. We had a great time being together (that only happens once in a blue moon, seriously). We listened to my Mom and Aunt Robin talk about their elementary school days, which I love to hear about. I'm not sure how we got on the subject but it was so funny.
As talkative as they both are now they never said a peep when they were little. Mom was SO shy and never wanted to go to school, she just wanted to stay at home with her mother. She had heard her mother (my nanny) say one day that she had a tension headache and thought maybe that could get her out of school one day. So when she had the oppertunity she went to the nurses office and told her that she had an "attention headache". The nurse laughed and went to get her teacher. She asked mom to tell her teacher why she felt so bad, so Mom told her that she had an "attention headache" and that she needed to go home. (ha-ha) So they called Nanny and had her come and pick up Mom. Mom said she thinks they just felt sorry for her because of how pitiful she looked and sounded, and the cute "attention headache" she developed from somewhere.
I thought that was such a cute little story.
Anyway, we had a great time and took a few pictures after dinner.
We will defintely have to try and do that every year.
